Join this gathering of God's people from area Christian denominations as we remove barriers and lift the name of Jesus up in praise and worship!

The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC) Auditorium was the site of HIGHER 2004 on November 13th. God's presence was strong and sweet as hundreds from multiple regional Christian churches joined hearts to lift up the name of Jesus in song and prayer. The combination of contemporary choruses and traditional hymns was enhanced by a full praise band, praise team, and choir, with the entire evening interpreted for the deaf. How beautiful it was to see God's children singing His praises while readers from different denominations read Scripture passages to open the evening, followed by a media presentation of several area churches flashing on the big screen.

How wonderful it was to sing "How Great Thou Art" as glorious outdoor pictures of the area moved in perfect time to the words to communicate His majesty in all created things! Doctrinal and denominational differences were set aside as believers united in common faith in Jesus Christ and pondered on a deeper level what it would be like to bow down before Him one day. Our Lord's presence was apparent from beginning to end, and surely this evening was pleasing in His sight.

As we continue to see the Lord move and draw more into the fold, we feel His gentle hand guiding us to HIGHER 2005 in October. The vision to "get Jesus Higher" - to make Him a greater priority in one's life - continues to grow as God uses HIGHER to communicate that message and stir hearts toward that end.
